I’m Erin Grunke and I write young adult stories in the genre of fantasy and science fiction.

Growing up in Minnesota building tree forts and hay bale castles certainly did nothing to quell my imagination. I played games of war with my siblings and friends, and had battles with airsoft guns in the dark corridors of our barn.

I’ve been creating stories for as long as I can remember, and wanted to be a film director since grade school, when the first of the  Lord of the Rings films came out. That dream was pursued through college, when I went to a film school to learn the trade, and I found that screenplays were something I enjoyed writing a lot, and that segued into bigger stories, thus novels.

I still dabble in screenplay writing and filming shorts every now and then for fun, providing content for the local cable channel.

I currently live in Minnesota, helping out with the family business of custom cabinetry in between creating stories and trying to figure out the whole self-publishing thing.

I’m currently working on a trilogy set in the medieval land of Kovrin and have many more series and novels bouncing around in my brain.
