Finish the magical journey

Bravery. Sacrifice. Compassion.

Andrea’s A’lier powers are gone, but she still needs to find Rul and return his powers to him, halting the Rulon’s takeover of Kovrin.

The Bilhans have taken Gavin’s throne, and he must fight to get it back, though his grasp of kingship is tenuous at best.

Danathen and Isabella try to prepare themselves for their own sacrifices, battling their inner demons along the way.

Torin hates his own people, but finds the woman he used to love, and is unsure if her loyalty is with him or the Rulon.

Azen and Chase fight through the hard labor of Rulon slaves, and strive to find the rebels among the thousands of slaves in Eil Mitan.

But all the while, the world is changing, and the Rulon are gearing up for war against Roden. It will take all of their grit, smarts, and courage to destroy the Rulon’s power, but the sacrifices they must all make are more than they bargained for, maybe even more than they can survive.

The story of

Erin Grunke

Hi friends, and welcome! I’m Erin, and I write fantasy tales that stay fairly light-hearted, but can wander into darker territory at times. I’ve loved fantasy and sci-fi since I was a kid. It probably has a bit to do with my uncles watching westerns and Star Wars often at family gatherings.

I’ve always loved reading and have been creating little stories and artworks since grade school and finally published my first novel shortly after graduating college. Novel writing wasn’t my first choice. It was being involved in films back then, having been inspired by Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings. The behind the scenes stuff fascinated me.

But I’ve always been a country girl at heart, and after doing my internship in LA, I knew that I definitely preferred the country air to the city, but I used my skills I’d learned in school, especially my screenwriting class, to learn how to craft a decent narrative.

At present I’m heavily involved in the family business of custom cabinetry; the crafting of wooden masterpieces another art form in itself. In between the busy times, and whenever I can find a moment to spare from both that work, and all the work in our gardens and small farm life, I weave my own tales for the page, hoping people will enjoy them for years to come.
